Why here

Why choose Property drone shoot in Canggu?

In Canggu, location is most of the price, and location is exactly what ground photos fail to show. From a hundred metres up a buyer or guest can see how far the villa is from the beach at Pererenan, whether the rice fields next door are real or already being built on, and how the plot sits between narrow lanes. A property drone shoot is planned around that story: the house, then the neighbourhood, then the coast. It is also the part of the job with the most rules, because the area lies close to the airport and flights need checking before anyone takes off.

How the shoot is planned

What does the shoot in Canggu look like?

01

The route

Before the day, you send the address, the plot boundaries if it is land, and what the listing needs to prove — sea view, walking distance to the beach, quiet street. On site the pilot starts with a ground check: trees, power lines, neighbours’ roofs, wind. The flight starts low and close for the villa itself: the pool from directly above, the roof, the garden, a slow reveal over the gate. Then it climbs and pulls back to show context — the paddies or the surrounding lanes, the nearest landmark, the line of the coast. Video is filmed on the same flight, with smooth orbits and fly-throughs cut into a 30–60 second edit, plus the raw clips.

02

The timing

Fly in the first hours after sunrise or the last two before sunset. Early mornings in Canggu are usually calm, which keeps the video smooth, and the sea breeze tends to pick up after midday. Late afternoon gives warmer light on roofs and long shadows that show the shape of a plot. The dry season, April to October, has the most flyable days; from November to March, plan for mornings and keep a second date, because drones do not fly in rain and wet-season haze flattens distant views. Avoid ceremony days at nearby temples, when flying overhead is disrespectful and often forbidden.

FAQ — Property drone shoot in Canggu

Is it legal to fly a drone over a villa in Canggu?

Usually, with conditions. Indonesian rules set height limits and require permission for commercial flights, and large parts of southern Bali sit inside the safety zones around Ngurah Rai airport. Many Canggu addresses can be flown at low altitude; some cannot. Our pilot checks the exact location against the current DGCA rules and the airport zone before we confirm, and we will tell you plainly if a site is not flyable.

What is included in the 30–60 second video?

A finished, colour-graded edit set to licensed background music, horizontal for websites and listings. It typically opens on the villa, shows the pool and roof, then rises to reveal the surroundings and the coast. You also receive the raw clips, so an agent or your team can cut shorter versions. Text overlays such as the villa name or price can be added if you send them before editing.

Can you shoot land plots, not only finished villas?

Yes, and drones are often the only sensible way to show land. We fly the plot from above with the boundaries visible, then from several heights to show access roads, neighbouring buildings and views. If you send the corner coordinates or a marked map, we can add an outline in post. For off-plan projects, the same flight gives developers a record of the site before construction starts.

What happens if it is too windy or wet to fly?

The pilot makes the call on site, and safety comes before the schedule. If wind or rain rules out a stable flight, we move to the next suitable morning at no cost, and if we were also shooting the villa from the ground, that part can go ahead as planned. In the wet season we usually pencil in a backup date at the time of booking.
