Why here
Why choose Solo travel photoshoot in Canggu?
Travelling alone in Canggu usually means a phone full of views and almost nothing with you in it. A solo shoot fixes that without turning you into a model. The town is built for people on their own — surf schools, co-working cafés, yoga shalas, scooters everywhere — so being photographed here looks like your life on the trip, not a performance. The photographer acts as a friend with a good camera: suggests where to stand, what to do with your hands, when to stop looking at the lens. Most people relax within the first few minutes.
How the shoot is planned
What does the shoot in Canggu look like?
01
The route
We meet somewhere easy — your guesthouse, a café you like — and spend the first minutes walking and talking while the camera is already out, because that is when people stop noticing it. In 30 minutes we stay in the one spot you choose: a café terrace or a colourful street corner on Jalan Batu Bolong for relaxed, everyday frames — coffee, laptop, a board under your arm — or the beach at Batu Bolong or the quieter sand at Berawa, walking along the waterline as the sun goes down. With an extra hour ($100) we string them together: café first, then a short ride to a rice-field path for open space in the late light, and the beach at sunset to finish. If you have a scooter, we use it; if not, the photographer’s driver takes us between stops.
02
The timing
Late afternoon into sunset gives the warmest light and the liveliest beach, which suits solo shoots that are meant to show the place. If you are shy about being photographed in public, an early morning start at around 6:30 means empty streets, gentle light and cafés just opening. The dry season, April to October, has the most reliable evenings. From November to March plan for the morning — afternoon storms are common — and expect Canggu’s roads to be slower after rain. Weekdays are noticeably calmer on the beach than Sundays.
What’s included
What does the package include?
The Solo travel photoshoot package in Canggu covers: 15+ edited photos; One spot near you, worked properly rather than rushed; Posing direction from the first minute; Meeting point at your accommodation or a public place you choose; Private online gallery within 48–72 hours. Nothing is added to the price after the shoot. Permits worth knowing about: Tanah Lot — ticket around IDR 75,000 for foreign adults; visitors cannot enter the temple itself.
01I have never posed for photos. Will it look awkward?
Almost everyone who books a solo shoot says this, and it rarely shows in the photos. Instead of asking you to hold poses, the photographer gives you things to do — walk to the next tree, fix your hair, look out to the surf — and shoots in between. You will see a few frames on the back of the camera early on, which helps. Within a few minutes most people have forgotten about the lens.
02Is it safe to meet a photographer alone in Canggu?
Our photographers are vetted, and you receive their name and photo before the shoot, along with a contact who speaks English or Russian. We meet in a public place, and every location on the route is open and busy. You are welcome to share the booking details with a friend or bring someone along. If anything about the plan makes you uncomfortable, tell us and we change it.
03Can you shoot inside the cafés in Canggu?
Usually yes, as long as you are a customer and the shoot stays casual — a coffee on the terrace, a few frames at the counter. Some cafés do not allow professional cameras or ask for a fee for longer shoots, so we choose places we know are relaxed about it, and always ask the staff first. We avoid crowded tables and do not photograph other guests without their consent.
04What does a solo travel photoshoot in Canggu cost with extras?
The base is $140 for 30 minutes and 15+ edited photos; an extra hour to add more spots is $100. A short vertical reel from the same session adds $110 and is handy if you post your travels; a drone pass over the beach or fields is $150 where flying is allowed. Hair and makeup is $90, and express delivery within 24 hours is $50. There are no entry fees on the usual Canggu route.
