How it works

From the first message to the gallery

You can be in it or stay out of it: a drone video works as a portrait of you in a landscape or as a landscape alone. Either way the raw clips are yours, for your own reels or a longer film later.

  1. Tell us the place; we check the airspace and any park permit before the day. In parks such as Komodo the permit is applied for in advance and paid separately.
  2. We plan the flight for the hour of low light, when long tracking shots and slow reveals look their best.
  3. A licensed drone pilot flies within Indonesian rules; where the rules say no, we do not fly, whatever the shot.
  4. If rain grounds the drone, we move the flight to another time at no cost, as with every shoot; in strong wind the pilot decides on the spot whether it is safe to fly.
  5. A 60–90 second edited aerial film plus the raw 4K clips, delivered in 5–7 days.

Drone video in Bali is 30 minutes of aerial filming, from $320, delivered within five to seven days as a 60–90 second edited film plus all the raw clips. The edit is cut to music and colour-graded, ready to post or play at a celebration; the raw clips let you or your editor cut other versions later. It works for couples and families who want their trip from above, for creators who need aerial footage, and for anyone travelling to the places that only make sense seen from the sky: island chains, volcano craters, reef lagoons.

Bali alone gives plenty: surf lines below the Uluwatu cliffs, the Nusa Penida coast, the Ubud terraces at sunrise, the twin lakes of the highlands. Beyond Bali, the islands around Labuan Bajo — Padar and the Komodo coast — and the caldera of Mount Bromo at dawn are landscapes that read best from the air, but both lie inside national parks that charge entry and may require separate drone permits; those costs are not included. Indonesian rules keep drones below a height limit, away from airports and off temples and ceremonies without permission, and we plan routes accordingly.

Timing is everything for aerial video. Sunrise brings calm air and soft light, which gives smooth footage; by midday heat haze flattens distant views, and afternoon wind on exposed coasts can make flying unsafe. In the wet season, November to March, mornings are the safer slot. Wear something that stands out from above — red, white or yellow against green and blue. The edited film and the raw clips arrive within five to seven days. For stills from the same flight, the drone photoshoot or the drone add-on covers aerial photos.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions: Drone video

Can you fly in Komodo National Park?

Only with a permit from the park authority, applied for in advance and paid separately from the shoot; rules and fees change, so we confirm them when you book. Without one we fly from outside the park boundary — the harbour and hills around Labuan Bajo and some of the islands on the way give strong aerial frames too. Boat tickets and park entry are not included.

What are the raw clips for?

They are every usable shot from the flight, ungraded, in 4K — typically several minutes of footage beyond what goes into the edit. Use them to cut your own reels, add them to a longer holiday film, or hand them to an editor later. The edited 60–90 second film is the finished piece; the raw clips are the material it came from.
