The gallery is grouped by the kind of shoot rather than by date, because that is how anyone looking for a photographer in Bali actually browses: you want to see couples, or families, or a flying dress session, and you want to see them in the place you are going to be. What the gallery is for is calibration. A run of Uluwatu sessions shows what the cliffs do in the last hour — warm side-light, the ocean going silver — and a flying dress on Nusa Penida shows how a long train reads against the Kelingking headland in the wind. A wet-season frame from Ubud shows the soft, overcast light of the jungle after rain. Both are more useful questions than whether the photographs are good.
