A holiday photoshoot is a 30-minute session where you are already staying, from $130, with 15+ edited photos in a private online gallery within 48–72 hours. It is meant for people who came to Bali — or to Lombok, the Gili Islands or Labuan Bajo — for the trip itself rather than for a production, and want pictures better than phone snaps without spending half a day in traffic. We meet at your villa, at the hotel beach or on the lane outside and use what is within walking distance: a pool, a frangipani-lined path, a stretch of sand in Sanur or Seminyak.
Villas and resorts treat outside photographers differently. Most private villas are relaxed about it; some resorts ask for notice or charge a fee for using their grounds, so we check before the date rather than at the gate. The west coast — Seminyak, Canggu, Jimbaran — looks best in the last hour before sunset, while Sanur and the east coast face the sunrise. In the dry season, roughly April to October, evenings are reliable; in the wet season mornings are usually clearer than afternoons. Half an hour is best spent in one outfit; for a change of look, add an extra hour for $100.
The format suits families with small children and groups of friends: it is short enough to keep everyone patient and needs no planning beyond a time and an address. The photographer directs lightly, so nobody has to know how to pose. Nothing needs choosing on the day — 15+ selected and edited photos arrive in the online gallery within 48–72 hours, usually before the flight home. If you want several locations or a sunrise at a famous spot, the Bali photoshoot with an extra hour ($100) is the better fit.

Frequently asked questions: Holiday photoshoot
Can you photograph us at our hotel?
Usually, but ask the hotel first. Some resorts in Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Ubud require notice for an outside photographer, and a few charge a fee for it; private villas almost never do. Send us the hotel name when you book and we will tell you what we know of its rules. If the grounds are off limits, the beach or lane outside the gate is normally just as good.
Will there be strangers and ceremonies in the background?
As few strangers as we can manage: sunset on the beaches of Seminyak and Canggu is busy, which is one reason to start in the morning. Balinese ceremonies and processions happen almost daily; we treat them as part of the island, not a backdrop, and do not pose you in front of worshippers or step onto offerings on the pavement. If one passes, we wait or turn the frame.
