The route
We meet at the end of Jalan Batu Belig, where the road reaches the sand, about forty-five minutes before sunset. The photographer checks the river mouth first: at low tide you can wade across to the Petitenget side, at high tide it cuts the beach and we stay on the northern bank. The session opens with walking frames along the waterline, holding hands with the light behind you, then closer portraits sitting on the dry sand where the beach slopes. As the sun gets low we move to the wet sand, which reflects the sky, for the wide frames with the two of you small against the horizon. With an extra hour ($100), the first part happens at your villa — a frame by the pool, getting ready together — and we drive the few minutes to the beach afterwards.
