The route
Before the day you send a link to your profile and three or four posts you like; the photographer comes back with a short list — say, eight frames — and a suggested setting whose colours match. On a typical morning session we start at your villa: a coffee on the terrace, a mirror frame in a terrazzo bathroom, a look by the pool shot from above the steps. If the second look is a street outfit, we walk to the lanes around Jalan Kayu Aya and Oberoi, where shutters, plants and plain walls give clean backgrounds; boutiques and cafés appear only with the owner’s permission, and we buy something when we use their space. Each frame is composed with room at the top and bottom so the vertical crops work, and we check them on a phone screen during the session, not after.
