The route
A few days before, we agree the three reels: for example a “day in Seminyak” montage, an outfit transition and a slow sunset piece. In the 30 minutes of filming we stay in one setting and shoot all three there — usually the beach at Petitenget as the sun drops: walking shots on a gimbal, the snap cuts for the transition reel, slow motion in the wash, the wide frame of the sky turning orange. With an extra hour ($100) we start in the late afternoon on Jalan Kayu Aya, known as Eat Street, and the lanes around it — shopfronts, a coffee — then a beach club or your villa for the pool, a drink, details and a few talking-to-camera lines, before finishing on the sand. Each location then covers parts of all three reels, so nothing is filmed twice.
