The route
We collect you in the city at around 4 am and drive into the hills in the dark. The first minutes are at a viewpoint over the Oya valley as the sky turns: a wide, slow shot of the two of you against the mist, then a close one of hands and faces in the first warm light — the film’s opening. Then a few minutes’ drive to the pine forest, where the sun is low enough to come through the trunks sideways. Here the camera follows you on a stabiliser as you walk between the rows, turns as you turn, and holds on small moments: a forehead touch, a laugh, a jacket put over shoulders against the morning chill. If there is mist, we film into the beams. The teaser is planned in the same session, framed vertically from the start rather than cropped later. With an extra hour, a second location such as the old pavilion or the city can follow for contrast.
