The route
We meet at the edge of the terraces about fifty minutes before sunset and clip the microphones on first, so you are used to them before anything important is said. The opening shots are slow and wide: the two of you walking down a terrace path, small in the frame, with the valley behind. Then we come closer. You stop on a dyke, read your letters or simply talk, and the videographer circles on a gimbal while the audio runs uninterrupted. The middle of the film is movement — running down steps, spinning in the last sun, your hands in the water of an irrigation channel — and the ending is the light going behind the ridge, with the two of you in silhouette. The vertical teaser is cut from the same footage, built for a phone screen from the start rather than cropped afterwards.
