The route
The thirty minutes start before the first guest sits down. We mic you both and the celebrant, test levels against the wind and the surf, and set one camera wide on a tripod so the whole ceremony is covered even when the handheld camera moves. Then the processional: the walk down the aisle filmed from the front, the reaction of the person waiting filmed from the side. During the vows the handheld camera stays close on faces while the wide holds the bay and the guests; the rings, the kiss and the recessional follow. In the minutes straight after, while guests congratulate you, we film the two of you a short way off — a walk to the edge of the lawn, the view, a quiet word. With extra hours we add preparations, speeches and the first dance, and the film grows accordingly.
