The route
You arrive dressed in the first outfit, with the gown’s train bagged and carried. The session starts at the viewpoint above Diamond Beach, with the stair dropping away below you and the stacks in the sea: formal, symmetrical frames first, then the two of you on the top flights of the stair, which curve back on themselves and give strong lines. We go no further down than the gown allows. The last minutes are closer portraits along the clifftop, with the low sun on your faces. With an extra hour, you change in the car — a roomy private car, not a scooter, matters here — and we walk to the Atuh side for the second look: a lighter dress or a shirt with rolled sleeves, the rock arch and the island behind, and a few relaxed frames by the warungs at the bottom.
