The route
A few days before, the photographer sends you a map pin and a photo of the exact spot, with the direction you should be facing so the sun is behind your partner and the ring catches the light. On the day you walk there together as if for an ordinary sunset stroll; the photographer is already in place thirty or forty metres away, sitting on the sand or pretending to photograph the sea. When you reach the marker — a piece of driftwood, a lifeguard flag — you give the agreed signal and propose. Everything is captured on a long lens: the moment you kneel, their face, the hug. Once the answer is clear, the photographer walks over and introduces themselves, and the remaining time becomes a relaxed couple shoot with the ring in frame, finishing at the water’s edge as the sun sets.
