The route
For a full day built from extra hours, coverage usually starts at the villa in the early afternoon: details laid out in a shaded room, the bride and her friends in one wing, the groom in another. Guests arrive by shuttle as the sun gets lower — Seminyak’s lanes are too narrow for everyone to park — and the ceremony on the lawn begins about an hour and a half before sunset. Straight after, family groups from your list, kept short because the light is moving. Then the two of you, and anyone you choose, walk down the access lane to the beach for twenty minutes of portraits at Petitenget or Batu Belig as the sun sets. Back at the villa it is canapés, speeches, the first dance on the pool deck and the party under the lights. The base 30 minutes cover just the ceremony and those first portraits.
