The route
The starting 30 minutes cover the ceremony itself — the walk in, the vows, the rings, the first kiss and the first portraits as a married couple — at whichever venue you have chosen, plus travel within the Bromo area. Most Bromo weddings add hours on either side, and the day often spans two mornings. The wedding day: getting ready at the hotel, the ceremony in the garden with the ridges of the Tengger mountains behind, family groups, the first dinner. The morning after: the jeep collects the two of you at 3:30, back in the dress and suit with coats on top, for sunrise on a quiet part of the rim and then the sea of sand, where a wedding dress against dark ash and the smoking cone gives the frames that people actually came for. Guests who want to see the sunrise can follow in their own jeeps and watch from the viewpoint, but the portrait time belongs to you.
