The route
Here is how a typical south-coast wedding day unfolds when a couple books several extra hours. Early afternoon: preparations at the villa, both of you in separate rooms, guests arriving by minibus from Kuta. Around 4.30 pm the guests are seated on a lawn facing the bay. The ceremony — the core thirty minutes — starts at about 5, so it ends before the sun and the Maghrib call to prayer. Straight after, while the guests have drinks, we take you two away for fifteen minutes of portraits on the slope or the beach below in the best light. Family groups follow before the light fails. After dark, the reception: speeches, first dance, and the cake, photographed with flash and the venue’s lighting. If the venue is a hotel in Senggigi, we flip the plan to use its west-facing beach for the sunset portraits.
