The route
The plan is built as a list, not a route, because everything in the caldera is within a few hundred metres. A typical one: a 9:16 cover with you sitting on the roof of the jeep and the cone behind, shot from below so the sky takes the top third; a walking frame along the line of parked jeeps, their roof racks and paint making the rhythm; a detail set — boots in ash, a gloved hand on a jeep door, steam over a cup — for carousels and stories; a portrait framed in the split gate of Pura Luhur Poten, from outside the wall; and, if the stairs are open, a high vertical with you halfway up the crater steps, the handrail leading the eye. If you bring a second look, it goes on in the jeep between the vehicles and the temple. Every selected frame is delivered both as a 4:5 crop for the grid and a 9:16 crop for stories and covers, composed for both at the moment of shooting, not cropped as an afterthought.
