The route
At PIK we meet about forty minutes before sunset at a quiet stretch of the waterfront, away from the busiest promenade. You change in the car, the train is laced to fit, and the first frames are static: the dress spread on the ground, you standing against the water. As the sun drops towards the bay, we turn you into the breeze and the train is thrown from just outside the frame and caught at its highest; with the light behind you, the fabric glows. The last minutes are silhouettes as the sun meets the water. The Kota Tua version starts at 6:00: the square is empty, the façade is evenly lit, and there is no wind, so the movement comes from the throw alone — repeated many times until the shape is right — and from you walking across the cobbles with the train flowing behind.
