## What goes into a wedding film

A wedding film in Bali starts with 30 minutes of filming the ceremony, from $1,490, edited into a 2–3 minute ceremony film plus a 30-second teaser; the teaser arrives within a week and the film within four to six weeks. The film is cut to music around the moments that carry sound: the vows, the rings, the first kiss. With extra hours at $100 each it can follow the whole day in order — preparations, portraits, speeches and the first dance — so a father's toast makes it into the soundtrack too. The teaser is short enough to share with guests the week after, while the film takes longer because it is edited, colour-graded and mixed with care.

Bali gives a wedding film movement that photos only hint at: surf breaking below the Uluwatu cliffs, wind in the palms on a Jimbaran beach, mist over the Ubud jungle at a morning ceremony, lanterns at a Seminyak reception. The videographer plans audio for the vows and speeches with your celebrant and venue in advance, because wind and surf on clifftops can drown voices. Aerial shots are available with the drone add-on where the venue agrees and the site is outside the no-fly zone around the airport. The dry season, April to October, gives the most reliable evenings.

The film works best booked alongside the destination wedding photographer, so both follow one timeline and stay out of each other's frame. Tell us early about the moments that matter — a surprise performance, a family tradition, a ceremony in your own language — so they are planned rather than caught by chance. Licensed music is chosen with you; tracks from streaming services cannot be used in a published film. The 30-second teaser comes within a week, and the film follows in four to six weeks as a private download link.

## Frequently asked questions

### Will the vows be audible over the ocean?

Yes. On cliff and beach ceremonies the wind and surf drown out a camera microphone, so the groom and the celebrant wear small lapel recorders, and if you add hours for the reception, a third one goes on the lectern or near the speakers for the speeches. We check levels before the ceremony starts. If there is a sound system, we also take a feed from the mixer.

### Can the film include drone shots of the venue?

Often, yes — book the Drone video alongside the film and we plan the aerial shots around the ceremony and the light. It depends on two things: the venue must allow it, and the venue must be outside restricted airspace. Several venues in Jimbaran and Nusa Dua sit within the zone around Ngurah Rai airport where flying is not permitted, so we check your address before confirming.
