## In short

A holiday photoshoot in Seminyak costs from $130 for 30 minutes and delivers 15+ edited photos within 48–72 hours. The photographer meets you at your hotel or villa, walks the beach access lane with you and finishes on the sand in the late light. Travel within Seminyak, Legian and Kerobokan is included.

A holiday shoot is meant to cost you as little of the holiday as possible, and Seminyak is built for that. Hotels and villas from Legian to Batu Belig sit a few minutes’ walk from the sand, joined to it by narrow public access lanes — the gang between hotel walls, with bougainvillea overhead and scooters parked along the side. That short walk is a photo set in itself, and it ends on a beach wide enough to find space even in August. So the half hour starts at your door: no car, no transfer, no meeting point to find. It suits friends travelling together, couples who do not want a “couple shoot”, and anyone who simply wants a few good photos of the trip without planning one.

## How the shoot is planned

The photographer arrives at your lobby or villa gate about forty minutes before sunset. A few frames happen before we even leave — the doorway, the pool if it is on the way — and then we walk. The beach access lane is where the relaxed pictures come from: you walking ahead, a look back over the shoulder, a stop at a warung cooler for a cold coconut. On the sand we turn away from the nearest beach club and use whatever stretch is emptiest that evening; around Legian and Double Six that means heading for the waterline, around Petitenget heading north. The last ten minutes, when the sun is close to the horizon, are kept for the pictures you will actually print. If you are a group of friends, every person gets a few frames on their own as well.

## Timing

Book the last forty minutes before sunset — between about 6 and 6:45 pm in Seminyak, depending on the month. The access lanes are in shade by then and the beach light is warm and low. If you prefer mornings, 7 to 8 am gives empty sand and soft, even light, though the sky behind the sea is pale rather than golden, since the sun rises over the island. From April to October almost every evening works. In the wet season keep the date flexible: afternoon storms usually clear by sunset, and the sky after one is often the best of the week.

## What is included

## Frequently asked questions

### We are staying in Legian, not Seminyak. Is that included?

Yes. Legian, Double Six, Petitenget, Batu Belig and Kerobokan are all covered without a travel charge, and Legian beach continues straight into Seminyak’s, so the session is the same walk from a different door. If you are further south in Kuta, tell us when you book and we will suggest the nearest stretch of sand.

### Can a group of friends share one holiday session?

Yes, the $130 covers whoever comes. For up to four people, 30 minutes gives group frames plus a few individual ones each. Larger groups who want proper individual portraits should add an extra hour ($100). If someone needs their photos before flying home, express 24-hour delivery is $50 for the whole gallery.

### Will the beach be crowded at sunset?

Near the beach clubs and at Double Six, yes, especially in July, August and at New Year. But the beach is long and wide at low tide, and a few minutes’ walk changes everything. Long lenses and the waterline keep other people out of the frame or soft in the background, where they read as atmosphere rather than clutter.

### Do we need to plan outfits or a shot list?

No. Wear what you would wear to dinner in Seminyak — linen, a light dress, sandals you can kick off on the sand. Avoid large logos and anything that shows sweat. The photographer handles where to stand and what to do, and the walk itself provides the variety.
