## How the shoot is planned

Thirty minutes is enough for three reels if they share one area, so we pick a stretch where field, water and stone sit close together — for example the paddies and irrigation channels on the edge of Penestanan, with a carved family gate on the lane leading in. Reel one is a “morning in Ubud” sequence: hands with coffee, sandals on a wet path, the walk into the green, filmed in short clips with a natural cut on every step. Reel two is built around water — a channel running through the rice, slow motion of fingers in the stream, a wide shot pulling back. Reel three uses the gate as a transition: walk through in one outfit, out the other side in another. With an extra hour, we drive to a waterfall such as Tibumana for a bigger water reel instead.

## Timing

Film at sunrise or within the first two hours after it: the fields catch the low side light that gives video depth, the channels shine, and there are no other people in the background to blur out. Late afternoon is the second choice, with warmer light but busier paths. In the wet season, November to March, rain is not always the enemy — a short shower makes a strong reel of drops on leaves and rising steam — but storms with lightning stop filming, and those mostly come after lunch, so we book mornings and keep a spare day.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can you film a Balinese ceremony for our reels?

We do not stage reels around ceremonies. If a procession passes or offerings are being made, we may film a few seconds from a respectful distance, with no one posing in front of worshippers, and only where it is clearly acceptable. Ceremonies are religious life, not a backdrop, and that is how locals expect them to be treated.

### Will the gamelan or the water sound be in the reels?

If you want it. We record ambient sound on location — water, birds, a gamelan if one is playing nearby — and can mix it under or instead of music. Each reel comes in a version with a licensed track and one without music, so you can add a trending sound in the app and keep the natural audio underneath.

### Can we add drone shots to the reels?

Aerial footage is a separate booking: the Drone video service, flown by a licensed pilot, can be scheduled the same morning, and we can cut a few aerial seconds into your reels. Ubud is outside the airport’s restricted zone, but we do not fly over temples, ceremonies or crowds, and the canopy limits take-off points.

### We need the reels quickly. Is there an express option?

Video editing takes 5–7 days, and there is no express option for reels, because each one is cut, colour-graded and delivered in two music versions. If you need to post by a fixed date — a launch, a campaign — tell us when you book, so the shoot day leaves a full week before it.
