## In short

A property drone shoot near Mount Bromo costs from $390 for 30 minutes, delivering 15+ edited aerial photos in 48–72 hours and a 30–60 second aerial video in 5–7 days. We show the building, its grounds and its distance to the caldera rim. Airspace is checked for your address in advance; any park permit is extra.

Around Bromo, a property sells on one fact more than any other: how close it is to the caldera. A guesthouse in Cemoro Lawang that is a three-minute walk from the rim, a hotel in Tosari with the Tengger ridges at its back, a plot of land on the slope above the Sukapura road — the value lies in the relationship between the building and the landscape, and that is the one thing a ground photograph cannot show. A property drone shoot does: the roofline, the access road, the terraced vegetable fields around it, and, rising behind, the rim with Bromo’s steam beyond. It is the honest version of this service for the area — there are no villas with pools to sell here, but there are lodges, homestays, highland hotels and land, and their owners, investors and booking pages all need the same proof of location. Because the villages on the rim border a national park, the airspace check is part of the job, not a formality.

## How the shoot is planned

Before the day, we check your address against the park boundary and the airspace rules, and request the park’s permission if the flight path needs it. On site, we take off from your own land. The first set is the property itself: a straight-down frame of the roof and grounds, three-quarter views from each corner at low height that show the building’s shape, the parking and the entrance — what a guest needs to recognise when the jeep drops them off in the dark. The second set is context: a slow rise and turn that brings the caldera rim, the road and the village into the same frame, and, from Cemoro Lawang, the sea of sand and Bromo’s cone opening up behind the building. That is the frame for the top of your listing. For land, we add a pass along the boundary and a high frame that shows the slope, the access road and the view the plot commands. The video is cut from the same flights: a rising reveal from the roof to the volcano in 30–60 seconds.

## Timing

Fly in the morning, ideally between 7:00 and 10:00. The rim and the villages are usually clear then, the light from the east falls on most west-facing slopes and rooftops, and the jeeps have already returned from sunrise so roads are quiet. After midday, cloud often rises out of the caldera and over the villages, and on many afternoons the view from the rim disappears entirely — the worst moment to show a property whose selling point is that view. The dry season, May to October, is the most dependable; in April and May the surrounding fields are still green, which suits sales photography. From November to March plan on a backup morning, since low cloud regularly grounds flights.

## Frequently asked questions

### Our property is inside or right next to the national park. Can you still fly?

Often yes, but only after we check. Villages such as Cemoro Lawang sit at the park edge, and a flight that stays over the village is a different case from one that drifts out over the caldera. We confirm what is needed for your address before the day; any park permit fee is passed on at cost and is not part of the $390.

### Can you also photograph the interiors?

That is a separate service — villa and hotel photography, from $290 for 30 minutes — and works well on the same morning: aerials first while the sky is clear, then the rooms. Together they give a listing everything it needs, from the view to the warmth of the bedroom.

### We are selling a plot of land. What will the shoot show?

Its shape and slope, the access road, what borders it — fields, houses, forest — and what can be seen from it, which near Bromo is often the main value. We can mark the approximate boundary on selected frames from a plan you provide, labelled as indicative rather than surveyed.

### How soon do we get the files?

The 15+ edited aerial photos arrive within 48–72 hours, so a listing can be updated that week. The 30–60 second video, edited with music and colour grading, follows within 5–7 days.
