## In short

An Instagram content shoot in Bali costs from $190 for 30 minutes, with 15+ edited photos plus 4:5 and 9:16 crops in 48–72 hours. Choose the area that matches your feed: Canggu for lifestyle and cafés, Seminyak for polished beach clubs, Uluwatu for cliffs and surf, Ubud for jungle and wellness. Extra looks or spots are $100 per extra hour.

Every area of Bali has already been posted thousands of times, so the useful question for a content shoot is which area fits your feed and which corners of it are not yet worn out. Canggu is lifestyle and wellness: cafés with good window light, surfboards, rice lanes behind the beach clubs, a scooter at golden hour. Seminyak is polished: boutiques, beach-club pools, white walls and the sunset on Petitenget. Uluwatu is cliff bars, surf breaks from above and limestone coves. Ubud is jungle, stone, yoga decks, rice and slow mornings. Nusa Penida gives instantly recognisable frames that half your audience has already seen. A creator usually gets more from working one area thoroughly — several looks, café, street and beach within walking distance — than from chasing the most viral view on the island.

## How the shoot is planned

Before the day we read your grid and turn it into a shot list for one area. In Canggu a typical half hour is a café table in the late-afternoon window light, then a walk to Batu Bolong for the beach as the sun drops; with an extra hour we add a paddy lane and an outfit change in between. In Seminyak it is a boutique street or a white wall, then Petitenget beach at sunset, or a beach-club pool where the club agrees to it. In Ubud it starts early: a stone gateway or a jungle path at seven, a terrace breakfast, the ridge before it gets busy. On the Bukit it is a cliff edge and a beach staircase, timed around the tide. The point is that every frame is within a few minutes of the last, so the half hour goes on content rather than on the road between areas.

## Timing

The south coast — Canggu, Seminyak, Uluwatu — is a sunset area: the best window is the hour before the sun goes down, and cafés have their softest window light in the late afternoon. Ubud is a morning area: by nine the famous corners are crowded and the light is flat. If you want two very different feeds — jungle and beach — book two sessions on two days rather than one rushed one. The dry season, April to October, gives the clearest skies; from November to March, plan mornings, use covered cafés as the backup, and remember that a rain shower often leaves the most dramatic sky of the week.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can we cover Canggu and Ubud in one content session?

Not well. The drive is one to one and a half hours, and the two areas want opposite ends of the day. Book two sessions — Ubud one morning, Canggu another evening — and you get two complete sets with different light and moods, rather than half an hour of each and an hour in traffic.

### Will beach clubs let us shoot?

Policies differ. Many beach clubs in Canggu, Seminyak and Uluwatu ask for professional cameras to be cleared in advance, and some require a reserved daybed or a minimum spend. We suggest places we know are relaxed and keep a public beach or street nearby as a backup, so a refusal at the door does not cost the session.

### Which area is least overexposed on Instagram?

Not a whole area so much as the corners next to the famous ones: the paddy lanes north of Canggu rather than the main café strip, the fields above Penestanan rather than Tegallalang, a road-access beach on the Bukit rather than the most tagged cove. Further out, the Sidemen valley and the coast around Amed look fresh to most audiences, but they are a long drive from the south.

### Can we add a reel or drone shots to the content shoot?

Yes: a vertical reel filmed between frames is $110, and a drone pass is $150. The drone depends on the area — Canggu’s fields and the Bukit cliffs are usually fine, while spots near the airport in Kuta, Jimbaran or Nusa Dua are not. We confirm before the day which of your spots can have aerial frames.
