## Where couples shoot in Bali

A couple photoshoot in Bali is 30 minutes together with a photographer at sunrise or sunset, from $170, with 15+ edited photos delivered online within 48–72 hours. It suits anniversaries, a first trip together or simply wanting good pictures of the two of you. No experience in front of a camera is needed: rather than holding stiff poses, the photographer gives you something to do — walk, talk, turn into the wind — and photographs what happens in between. Travel within the booked area is included in the price.

Location sets the mood. The limestone cliffs of Uluwatu and the beaches below them, such as Padang Padang and Melasti, give ocean and big sunset skies on the west-facing Bukit Peninsula. Ubud offers rice terraces, jungle and soft morning mist. Canggu, with its black sand and beach bars, feels relaxed and modern. Beyond Bali, the Gili Islands and Lombok have quieter beaches, and from the Gilis the sun sets behind Mount Agung across the strait. In the dry season, April to October, evenings are reliable; in the wet season we usually shoot at sunrise.

Half an hour suits one outfit; a change of look fits with an extra hour ($100). A light dress and a linen shirt move well in the wind and look good on cliffs and sand. The beaches below Uluwatu are reached by long staircases, and some charge a small entry or parking fee, which is not included. Melasti and Padang Padang get crowded at sunset, so we arrive early for clean frames. The gallery of 15+ edited photos arrives within 48–72 hours, and a drone add-on gives aerial frames of the cliffs where flying is allowed.

### Which part of Bali should we choose?

Go by the light and by where you are staying. The Uluwatu and Bukit cliffs face west and are at their best in the hour before sunset. Ubud’s rice terraces and jungle are best at sunrise, when there is mist and no tour buses. Canggu’s black-sand beaches suit both ends of the day. Within the area you book, travel is included, so pick the one closest to your hotel.

### One of us hates being photographed. Will it work?

It is the most common situation, and it works. The photographer gives you something to do together — walk, whisper something, fix the other’s collar — so the reluctant one is busy with a person rather than a lens. Most of the session is shot from a few metres away. The first few minutes are warm-up; nobody needs to look good in them.
